High Wind Warning Issued For Parts Of San Diego County

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for parts of San Diego County.

The warning will be in effect from 10 p.m. Monday until 7 p.m. Tuesday for the county's deserts and mountains, including the cities of Borrego Springs and Julian.

West winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph are expected, according to the NWS.

"Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines," forecasters warned. "Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles."
