Hiker Goes Missing On Black Mountain Trail Amid Heat Wave: Police
"Due to the weather and difficulty of the trail, she is missing at risk," police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA —Police sought the public's help in finding a woman who went missing while hiking amid a heat wave in San Diego.
Diem Le Nguyen, 50, was hiking with a group on Nighthawk Trail on Black Mountain at 9711 Oviedo Way, according to the San Diego Police Department.
When the group stopped halfway up the trail around 8 a.m. Sunday, Nguyen continued hiking alone to finish the trail, police said. She contacted them at 9:30 a.m. and shared she was at the end of the trail.

"She has not made contact or been seen since," the department said on X, formerly known as Twitter. "Due to the weather and difficulty of the trail, she is missing at risk."
Police described Nguyen as Asian, about 5 feet 1 inches tall and 105 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt with a pink heart on the front, black pants, brown hat, a backpack and sunglasses.
