Hiking Palomar Mountain State Park: Photo Of The Day

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — Patch reader and local photographer Bob Thompson captured this photo of a meadow while hiking on a trail to Thunder Creek at Palomar Mountain State Park.

"It's such a pretty short hike, along a hillside of Evergreen trees, which provide plenty of shade, for lush green ferns to thrive," he explained. "We saw plenty of butterflies, birds and some weird-looking bugs up here. The clouds really add to this one."
