How To Get An 'Inside Look' At Animals At SeaWorld San Diego
The San Diego theme park's Inside Look event is back with all-new and returning behind-the-scenes experiences.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Visitors can now get an inside look at jellyfish, killer whales and other animals at SeaWorld San Diego.
Starting Saturday, the theme park's Inside Look event is back with all-new behind-the-scenes experiences on select dates through Jan. 21.
"Inside Look is an awesome opportunity for our guests to learn about our incredible animals in new and unique ways as well as meet our zoological specialists as they share their passion for the animals they care for," said Eric Otjen, vice president of zoological operations at SeaWorld San Diego.

During the event, which is included with park admission, people will have special access to SeaWorld Rescue Center and other areas of the park generally not open to visitors. There will also be opportunities to learn about the park's animals from animal care specialists.
Paid upgrades include an all-new dining experience with rescued animals, a jellyfish-focused Aquarium Lab tour and more.

New and returning experiences include:
Aquarium Lab Jellyfish Tour: This new paid upgrade allows visitors to go behind the scenes at the Aquarium Lab and see and learn more about moon jellyfish, a species that will be featured in Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience exhibit opening in 2024. Visitors will also have an opportunity to learn about and interact with archer fish and cleaner shrimp.
Inside Look Dine with Animals: This new paid upgrade gives visitors an opportunity to hear about rescued marsupials, primates and reptiles while eating a chef-curated buffet meal at Nautilus Pavilion.
Animal Care Inside Look: In addition to daily animal presentations, SeaWorld animal care specialists will host special Trainer Talks where visitors can learn about animal behaviors, feeding and husbandry. These 20-minute presentations will be offered daily at Orca Encounter, Dolphin Point, Sea Lion and Otter Stadium, Penguin Encounter, and for the first time, the Wild Arctic Beluga Viewing Area and Otter Outlook.
Inside Orca Care Program: This paid upgrade allows visitors to view a learning and training session between orcas and trainers.
Inside the SeaWorld Rescue Center: Visitors can tour areas of SeaWorld Rescue Center, a back area of the park where the Rescue Team brings hundreds of rescued animals each year for rehabilitation. Visitors will be able to tour the animal hospital and rehabilitation areas and get an up-close look at the rescue truck and inflatable boat used in rescues.
Inside and Underwater at Turtle Reef: Visitors will be able to watch zoological scuba divers interact with the turtles at the Turtle Reef exhibit.
Meet Animal Conservation Ambassadors: Visitors can see a variety of rescued animals during the Feathers, Scales and Furry Rescue Tails educational presentation at Nautilus Amphitheater.
Connections with Conservation Partners: Inside Look will spotlight conservation organizations in the community that parter with SeaWorld. The organizations will have booths on Skytower Lawn.
Inside Look is included with park admission. Theme park-goers can get an Inside Look passport and visit certain Inside Look locations for a special stamp. Check the park's daily schedule for event times.
