IKEA To Celebrate 25 Years In San Diego With Special Anniversary Event

SAN DIEGO, CA — IKEA is celebrating 25 years in San Diego with a special event.

The 25th anniversary event on Sunday will feature exclusive offers, treats and giveaways at the IKEA San Diego store.

As part of the celebration, IKEA Family members can get 25-cent hot dogs, plant dogs and veggie dogs at the newly remodeled Swedish Bistro. The anniversary event will also feature a giveaway for the first 25 IKEA Family members, plus 25% off the As-Is section, a sampling of Swedish treats, additional giveaways and more.

"This weekend feels extra special as we celebrate two milestones at once — the re‑opening of our Swedish Bistro and 25 years of IKEA in San Diego," Erika Nava, sales manager and IKEA San Diego spokesperson, told Patch. "For a quarter century, we've focused on making everyday life better for the many people, and we couldn't imagine a better way to say thank you than with 25‑cent hot dogs, some iconic socks, additional 25% off in As‑Is, and plenty of memorable activities for our IKEA Family members."

IKEA San Diego will continue the celebration on the 25th of every month through August with IKEA product giveaways, 25-cent hot dogs, plant dogs and veggie dogs, as well as 25% off the As-Is section.

The anniversary event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at IKEA San Diego at 2149 Fenton Parkway in San Diego.
