Large Crowds Expected For Final Days Of San Diego County Fair

SAN DIEGO, CA — Tens of thousands of people are expected to flock to the San Diego County Fair this weekend before this year's version of the annual event wraps up on July 4.
An estimated 60,000 attendees were reported in the last few days, and the final few days could sell out, according to fair officials.
The fair takes place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds at 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., and is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Tuesday.

Attractions include carnival-style rides, arts and craft displays and demonstrations, a petting zoo and other activities.
The fair's concert schedule includes Mexican vocalist Jorge Medina on Sunday, the bands Switchfoot and The Green on Monday and Kiss the Sky on Tuesday. Separate admission is required for those shows, but various other musical performances can be enjoyed with fair admission.

Weekend and holiday tickets cost $20 for adults, with Monday's tickets priced at $15. For seniors age 62 and over and children under 13, those prices are $17 and $12, respectively. Children aged 5 and under get in free.
