Make-A-Wish San Diego, Hotel Del Coronado Grant Child's Royal Ball Wish

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 7-year-old San Diego girl celebrated a major milestone Sunday with a wish come true: a royal ball at Hotel del Coronado.

Make-A-Wish San Diego partnered with the historic beachfront hotel to grant Aylianna's wish following her successful kidney transplant, the organization announced Wednesday.

As Aylianna made her grand entrance down the Make-A-Wish blue carpet, she was greeted by a cheering crowd of family members, friends and community supporters. This celebration features all her favorite things and was designed to reflect the organization's mission of providing hope and joy to children facing critical illnesses.

The event coincided with World Wish Month in April, when Make-A-Wish chapters worldwide highlight the impact of granting wishes. Make-A-Wish San Diego is using the occasion to recruit volunteers, known as "Wish Granters," to help fulfill more wishes for local children.
