Man Brutally Beaten By 'Transient' Outside His San Diego Apartment: Reports

SAN DIEGO — A 28-year-old suffered brain damage after he was brutally beaten outside his apartment in City Heights by a man known to be a transient in the area, according to reports.
Louis Estrada was found bleeding in an alley last month after he went to confront a man whom Estrada’s father, Johnny Castillo, described as a “transient known for causing problems in the area,” KGTV reported, adding that Phillip Hightower, 41, is charged with attempted murder in the case.
“Their son was severely beaten by a transient who refused to leave from outside their window,” according to a GoFundMe page started to support the family.
