Man Fatally Struck By Big Rig In San Diego
A man died over the weekend when he was struck by a big rig in the University Heights area of San Diego, authorities said.
SAN DIEGO — A 33-year-old man died Sunday when he was struck by a big rig in the University Heights area of San Diego, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 9:26 p.m. at Texas Street and Madison Avenue, San Diego police Officer Robert Heims said.
"The pedestrian entered the roadway and ran into the side of the trailer," Heims said. "He fell onto he ground and was run over by the trailer."

The man was taken to a hospital, where he died, the officer said.
