Man Found Shot To Death In Ramona Home

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office ruled his death a homicide.

RAMONA, CA — Authorities Monday publicly identified a man found shot to death last week at his Ramona home.

The brother of Eduardo Aguilar Alba, 26, called 911 at 5:05 p.m. Friday after finding him dead inside his home in the 400 block of 16th Street, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

An autopsy determined that the victim died of a gunshot wound to the head, sheriff's Lt. Joseph Jarjura said. The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office ruled his death a homicide.

"At this stage of the investigation, the motivation and circumstances of the shooting are still unclear," Jarjura said. "Sheriff's homicide investigators are working to gather more information to determine the facts of the case."
