​Man Goes Missing After Walk In Pine Hills Area Near Julian

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — Authorities are seeking the public's help Tuesday in finding a man who went missing during a walk in the Pine Hills area, an unincorporated community near Julian in San Diego County.

Terry Hughes, 76, was last seen Monday afternoon when he failed to return home from a walk near Pine Hills, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. He was believed to be near Three Sisters and Cedar Creek Falls. Search-and-rescue teams were searching trails and roads in the area.

"Hikers in the area of Three Sisters and Cedar Creek Falls are encouraged to keep an eye out for Terry," sheriff's officials said on Twitter.

Hughes is 6-foot-1 but he walks hunched over, which makes him appear about 5-foot-2, officials said.

Anyone with information on Hughes was asked to call 911.
