Man Gunned Down At Logan Heights House Party Identified
Officials identified a young man who was shot last weekend during a fight at a Logan Heights house party and whose killer remains at large.
SAN DIEGO — Authorities Tuesday publicly identified a young man who was shot last weekend during a fight at a Logan Heights house party and whose killer remains at large.
Patrol officers responding to reports of gunfire a few blocks from Chicano Park shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday found Lamonte Stevenson, 19, mortally wounded at a home in the 2700 block of Marcy Avenue, according to San Diego police.
Medics took Stevenson to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives have determined that the victim was attending a social gathering at the house when he got into an argument with another man, Lt. Martha Sainz said. The quarrel escalated, and the unidentified killer pulled out a gun and shot Stevenson several times in the upper body before fleeing.
"Detectives will continue with their investigation to determine the identity of the suspect," the lieutenant said.
