Man Hit By Car Dies Over The Weekend In Fallbrook
A man walking a bicycle died after being hit by a car on Ammunition Road in Fallbrook, authorities said.
FALLBROOK, CA — A man walking a bicycle died after being hit by a car on Ammunition Road in Fallbrook, authorities said Monday.
The man, 62, was walking with his bike along the right side of Ammunition Road when he was struck by a 25-year-old man driving a Hyundai Sonata around 9 p.m. on Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol. The victim was pronounced dead on scene.
Officer Hunter Gerber said the cause of the accident is under investigation. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a contributing factor.

The investigation following the accident effected westbound lanes of Ammunition Road for about two hours. No other information, including the names of the driver and victim was released. The CHP was investigating the incident.
