SAN DIEGO, CA — A man in his 50s was injured Wednesday when he fell from his bike in Carmel Mountain Ranch, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said.

The injury was reported at 6:36 a.m. Wednesday at Shoal Creek Drive and Shoal Summit Drive.

Rescuers reached the man at 6:48 a.m. and assessed his injuries, according to a SDFRD incident log. He was rushed to Palomar Medical Center and his condition was not immediately known.

There were 24 firefighter crew members assigned to the rescue.
