Man Killed After Crashing Vehicle Into Tree, Rolling Over Into Backyard In Escondido
The Valley Center man lost control of his vehicle, collided with a tree and rolled over into the backyard of a home, police said.
ESCONDIDO, CA — A man died in a solo vehicle crash over the weekend in Escondido, authorities said.
The crash happened at 3:24 a.m. Sunday on El Norte Parkway, east of Lincoln Avenue, according to the Escondido Police Department.
The 22-year-old Valley Center man lost control of his vehicle, collided with a tree and rolled over into the backyard of a home, police said. No other vehicles were involved and there were no known witnesses.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending family notification.
Police said it was unclear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
