Man Robbed At Gunpoint In College West Area Of San Diego

A 22-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint in the College West section of San Diego.

SAN DIEGO — A 22-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint Thursday in the College West section of San Diego.

The victim was in the north alleyway in the 5700 block of Montezuma Road around 4:15 p.m. when three men approached and began talking with him, according to San Diego Police Department Officer Robert Heims.

"Shortly after talking to the victim, one of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim," Heims said. "While he did this, a second suspect went through his pockets. The suspect took a vape pen, cellphone and knife."

The suspects then took off running and were last seen heading east toward Campanile Drive, Heims said.

All three suspects were described as black men in their mid-20s. One was 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighed about 160 pounds and had a gold-colored "grill" on his teeth. He was wearing black sweatpants and a black beanie.

The second suspect was 5 feet, 10 inches tall, also about 160 pounds and was wearing all-black clothing and a black fanny pack.

The third suspect was 5 feet, 11 inches to 6 feet tall and was wearing a black shirt and multicolored/blue pants.
