Man Robs College East Convenience Store

After the cashier complied, the suspect left the store and fled in an unknown direction.

SAN DIEGO, CA — The man who robbed a College East convenience store is on the loose Tuesday.

San Diego Police Department officers were called at 9:09 p.m. Monday to the ampm store at the Arco station at 5111 College Ave. regarding a robbery, said Officer Dave O'Brien.

Police learned a man had walked into the store, displayed a black handgun and demanded money from the register, O'Brien said.

After the cashier complied, the suspect left the store and fled in an unknown direction.

He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a gaiter-type face mask and dark pants, police said.
