Man Sexually Assaults Girl After Sneaking Into San Diego Home: Police
The man entered the home through an open door and attacked a girl who was sleeping, police said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Police sought the public's help Thursday in finding a man who broke into a home and sexually assaulted a girl in San Diego.
The assault happened around 1:45 a.m Thursday at a home in the 2800 block of Wellington Street in the Linda Vista neighborhood, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The man entered the home through an open door, attacked a girl who was sleeping and then fled the home, Lt. Michael Swanson said.

Police were not releasing the age of the victim, Swanson told Patch.
The suspect was described as white or Hispanic, about 5 feet 8 or 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing roughly 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a dark jacket, possibly a windbreaker, and dark pants.

Anyone with information about the case or video surveillance from the area was asked to call the child abuse unit at 619-531-2210 or the department's non-emergency line at 619-531-2000.
