Man Sought In Brutal San Diego Parking Lot Attack

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities asked for the public's help Thursday to identify a man accused of repeatedly punching and kicking another man during a dispute in San Diego, leaving the victim unconscious with multiple facial fractures.

The assault happened around 6 a.m. Aug. 22 in the parking lot of a shopping center at 2493 Roll Drive in San Diego, according to San Diego County Crime Stoppers and the San Diego Police Department.

Police said the two men were arguing over transportation fees when the dispute turned violent. The suspect punched and kicked the victim in the face multiple times before fleeing in a vehicle.

The victim was knocked unconscious and suffered a fractured eye socket, a broken nose and multiple facial cuts, police said. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The suspect was described as about 30 years old, with a medium complexion. He was 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed about 200 pounds. He had short, slicked-back black hair, a beard and tattoos on his left forearm, police said.

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, black shorts and black shoes that the victim believed were steel-toed boots. His vehicle was described as a dark gray Chrysler four-door sedan.
