Man Stabbed To Death In Front Of Hotel Churchill
The suspect was arrested while trying to start a fire inside his nearby apartment, police said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A man was stabbed to death over the weekend in downtown San Diego, authorities said.
Officers responded at 9:23 p.m. Saturday to a report of a stabbing in front of Hotel Churchill, where they found an unidentified man in his 40s on the sidewalk with multiple stab wounds, according to the San Diego Police Department. Officers and medics rendered aid to the man, but he died at the scene.
While trying to help the victim, officers were pointed to the suspect, who had gone to his nearby apartment and was trying to start a fire inside, police said. Using a K-9, officers forced their way into the room and took 34-year-old Grant Parker into custody.

Parker was taken to a hospital for treatment. He will be booked into county jail on suspicion of murder once medically cleared, police said.
The relationship between the two men was unclear.
