Man Stabbed In Park In Hillcrest

An argument between four men turned physical and left a man with knife wounds at a park in the Hillcrest area of San Diego, police said.

SAN DIEGO – A verbal argument between four men that turned physical left a man with knife wounds Thursday at a park in the Hillcrest area of San Diego, a city police officer said.

It happened about 6:35 p.m. in Ward Canyon Park in the 3900 block of Adama Avenue, according to Officer Robert Heims said.

When an argument between the quartet was over, a man was stabbed twice near an armpit by another man as he got onto his motorcycle to leave, Heims said.

The victim was able to drive himself away on his motorcycle and was taken to a hospital by his girlfriend, Heims said.

His wounds were non-life-threatening, Heims said.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, about 5 feet 8 inches or 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds, Heims said.

All three men then fled the park.
