Man Stabbed Three Times In Chest In San Diego's East Village

SAN DIEGO, CA – Police Monday were searching for a man suspected of stabbing a 39-year-old man three times in the chest in downtown San Diego's East Village neighborhood.

It happened around 8:50 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of 13th and F streets, San Diego police Officer John Buttle said.

Few details were immediately available, but the 39-year-old man was stabbed three times in the chest by another man, Buttle said, adding that the victim was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A detailed description of the suspect was not immediately available.

Central Division detectives were investigating the attack.
