Marine Killed In Amphibious Combat Vehicle Rollover At Camp Pendleton
Fourteen other Marines were inside the vehicle when it crashed, officials said.
CAMP PENDLETON, CA — A U.S. Marine was killed in a tactical vehicle rollover crash during a training exercise at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, military officials said.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. Tuesday as the amphibious combat vehicle was making a ground movement during training, according to a news release from I Marine Expeditionary Force.
Fourteen other Marines were inside the vehicle when it crashed, officials said. They were taken to local hospitals, including Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, for evaluation and treatment.

The identity of the Marine who died was withheld pending family notification. The Marine was described as a member of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
