melin Gives Back to Feeding San Diego
melin to Provide Two Meals for Every A-Game Hat Sold on Thanksgiving

Southern California premium headwear brand melin is proud to give back to its local community by donating a portion of proceeds from every A-Game hat sold on Thanksgiving Day to hunger-relief organization Feeding San Diego. One dollar from each A-Game hat purchase will go to Feeding San Diego to help provide two meals for those in need. The non-profit is the leading hunger relief and food rescue organization in San Diego County and the only Feeding America affiliate in the region.
“As a Southern California brand, we are thrilled to give back to the local community we live and grew up in,” co-founder and President Brian McDonell said. “Feeding San Diego’s mission is near to our hearts. Each year, Feeding San Diego provides millions of meals to those in need, and we are honored to be a part of that contribution this Thanksgiving.”
Hundreds of thousands of San Diegans face food insecurity and don’t know where their next meal is coming from. Feeding San Diego is on a mission to end hunger through food rescue. The organization provides more than 35 million nutritious meals to children, families, seniors, college students, military families, and veterans yearly. 70% of the food they distribute is rescued before it hits the landfill, saving nearly 25 million tons of methane gases from being released into the atmosphere. Through its resourceful model of operation, the organization prevents food from going to waste, and instead, connects it to families in need.

“We are incredibly grateful to local companies who choose to keep their philanthropic efforts local in order to improve the lives of people right here in our community,” said Ali Colbran, Director of Development at Feeding San Diego. “This holiday season will be challenging for people facing hunger given the incredible impact inflation has had on budgets across the board. It’s heartening to see our community of donors spring into action.”
Throughout the year melin gives back, and the brand encourages its family to help by giving back to their local communities too. For more information or to make donations to Feeding San Diego directly, please visit www.feedingsandiego.org.
