Midday Fire Damages Tierrasanta Townhouse

Emergency crews arrived in the neighborhood just south of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard to find smoke coming from a two-story townhouse.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A midday fire damaged a home in Tierrasanta Monday.

The non-injury blaze in the 5300 block of Caminito Velasquez erupted for unknown reasons shortly before noon, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

Emergency crews arrived in the neighborhood just south of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard to find smoke coming from a two-story townhouse.

SDFRD spokeswoman Maria Gamez said she could provide no further information about the incident, including how long it took firefighters to extinguish the flames and whether any residents were displaced by the fire.
