SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA — We've rounded up the stories you may have missed over the weekend to prepare you for the week ahead.

But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents should expect dry weather across Southwest California through next Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

"It will be cooler today with a little morning marine layer," NWS Los Angeles forecasters wrote Monday. "A gradual warming trend will start Tuesday and continue through Thursday. Well above normal temperatures are likely Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the mid 80s to low 90s across the valleys. It will turn cooler Friday and Saturday as onshore flow increases."

In other news, deputies arrested a man suspected of shooting his parents to death and nine people were injured, including children, when a minivan crashed into a crowd.

Also, thousands of people gathered throughout Southern California as part of a nationwide series of "Hands Off!" demonstrations to condemn President Donald Trump and Elon Musk. Protests were held in communities across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Diego counties.

Plus, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the government had revoked the visas of 300 international students studying in the U.S. Dozens of those apparently affected students at California schools, including UCLA and UCSD.
