Mira Mesa Home Bursts Into Flames After Car Crashes Into It

The car hit a gas line when it slammed into the home, police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A house burst into flames after a car crashed into it and hit a gas line Sunday evening in the Mira Mesa area of San Diego, according to authorities.

The crash took place Sunday evening in the 8700 block of Ferndale Street, San Diego police told ABC 10 News.

The car hit a gas line when it slammed into the home, police said.

San Diego Fire Department spokeswoman Monica Munoz said three adults and two dogs were displaced from the home because of the fire. No injuries were reported.

The driver was under investigation for a possible DUI, according to police.
