Missing Indio Woman May Be In San Diego County

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities sought the public's help Wednesday in finding a missing woman who vanished weeks ago but may be somewhere in Riverside or San Diego counties.

Laura Ann Brown, 78, was last seen Nov. 20, 2025, in the area of Avenue 48 and Jefferson Street in Indio, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The agency issued a Silver Alert after receiving the missing person notification Wednesday from the Indio Police Department. A Silver Alert is activated when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively-impaired person has gone missing and is determined to be at-risk.

Brown is 5 feet 6 inches tall and 178 pounds, with short brown/gray hair and brown eyes, according to the CHP.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts was asked to immediately contact their local law enforcement agency, or dial 911.
