Motorcycle Rider Breaks Ankle In Head-On Collision In Ocean Beach
The motorcycle rider was thrown off the motorcycle and onto the hood of the Wrangler and sustained an open ankle fracture.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 43-year-old man riding a motorcycle suffered a broken ankle in a head-on collision with an SUV Thursday evening in Ocean Beach.
Officers from the San Diego Police Department were called at 6:57 p.m. to Ebers Street and West Point Loma Boulevard where they learned the motorcyclist was riding westbound in the 4700 block of West Point Loma Boulevard when a 65-year-old man driving a Jeep Wrangler eastbound turned onto Ebers Street into the path of the motorcycle, causing a head-on collision, said Officer Robert Heims.
The motorcycle rider was thrown off the motorcycle and onto the hood of the Wrangler and sustained an open ankle fracture. He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It was unknown if the driver of the Wrangler was injured.
