Motorcycle Rider Killed In Scripps Ranch Neighborhood
The 19-year-old collided with another vehicle around 2:30 a.m. Monday morning, police say.
SCRIPPS RANCH, CA — A 19-year-old man died after colliding with another vehicle in the San Diego Scripps Ranch neighborhood early Monday. His name was not immediately released, and the other driver fled the scene, according to police.
Around 2:30 a.m., the rider was traveling eastbound in the fast lane of the 10000 block of Carroll Canyon Road on his 2021 Honda motorcycle. For reasons unknown, he struck the rear of another vehicle, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Police said the other driver fled the scene before emergency responders arrived. A description of the vehicle was not immediately available.

A passerby discovered the downed motorcyclist and called for help. Emergency units responded to the scene, where the victim was pronounced dead.
