Motorcyclist Collides With SUV In Point Loma Heights

The motorcycle rider was transported to a hospital for treatment of an open fracture to his left femur, officials said.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A 45-year-old man riding a motorcycle suffered a broken leg when he collided with an SUV in the Point Loma Heights area, police said Friday.

The man was riding his motorcycle northbound in the 2600 block of Worden Street about 4:30 p.m. Thursday when he crossed over the double yellow lines while taking a curve and sideswiped a Chevrolet Suburban going southbound before crashing, San Diego police Officer Robert Heims said.

The motorcycle rider was transported to a hospital for treatment of an open fracture to his left femur, which was not believed to be life-threatening, Heims said.

It was unclear if the 35-year-old woman driving the SUV was injured.
