Motorcyclist Injured In Kearny Mesa Collision

A motorcyclist suffered a compound leg fracture in a Kearny Mesa collision, police said Friday.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A motorcyclist suffered a compound leg fracture in a Kearny Mesa collision, police said Friday.

The accident happened at 11:36 p.m. Thursday, when a car turned left onto Convoy Street from Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and struck the victim, who had run a red light, according to San Diego Police Department Officer Robert Heims.

The motorcyclist, a 57-year-old man, was treated at a local hospital. The driver of the car was unharmed.
