Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Crash With SUV In Kearny Mesa
The crash happened shortly before 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and Kearny Villa Road.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorcyclist was seriously injured when he collided with an SUV at an intersection in the Kearny Mesa area, police said Thursday.
It happened shortly before 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and Kearny Villa Road, located just east of state Route 163, San Diego Police Officer John Buttle said.
A 51-year-old man driving an SUV was turning onto westbound Clairemont Mesa Boulevard from northbound Kearny Villa Road when a 20-year-old man riding a motorcycle southbound on Kearny Villa Road traveled through the intersection and collided with the SUV, Buttle said.

The motorcyclist suffered a fractured femur in his right leg and a fractured radius in his right wrist, Buttle said. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of the injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening.
Alcohol or drugs were not believed to be factors in the collision, Buttle said.
