Motorist Seriously Injured In Solo Vehicle Crash In National City
A motorist was seriously injured Wednesday in a solo vehicle crash on a National City freeway, authorities said.

NATIONAL CITY, CA – A motorist was seriously injured Wednesday in a solo vehicle crash on a National City freeway, authorities said.
The crash involving a Honda sedan happened about 2 a.m. on westbound state Route 54 near Highland Avenue, California Highway Patrol Officer Tommy Doerr said.
The sedan blew a tire and crashed into walls on both sides of the westbound freeway lanes before coming to a rest in the middle lanes, according to a CHP incident log.

The driver was transported to Scripps Memorial Hospital in Chula Vista with major injuries, Doerr said.
