Motorist Suffers Serious Injuries In Crash With Semi On I-805

SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorist was hospitalized Tuesday with major injuries following a crash with a semi truck on Interstate 805 in the North Park area, authorities said.

The crash involving a Hyundai sedan and a semi truck happened shortly before 9:35 p.m. Monday on southbound I-805 near Adams Avenue, California Highway Patrol Officer Tommy Doerr said.

The Hyundai driver was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital with major injuries, Doerr said.

No details about the victim were immediately available.

CHP officers were investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
