Naked Burglary Suspect Arrested While Showering In SD Backyard
The man was suspected of breaking into the home of a 97-year-old woman in San Diego's Bay Park neighborhood.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A naked 35-year-old man suspected of a residential burglary was arrested while showering with a hose in the backyard of an adjacent Bay Park home, police said.
Police received a call about a trespasser shortly after 10:30 a.m. Thursday behind a home in the 1900 block of Denver Street located a few blocks east of Morena Boulevard, San Diego police Sgt. Michael Tansey said.
Police wrapped a towel around the man before leading him to a patrol SUV in handcuffs.
Judith Babbitt-Gould told OnScene TV that she was at home when a visitor noticed a naked man bathing with her garden hose.

Gwen Gibbs told OnScene TV she returned home after being gone for around an hour to find that someone had broken her front door knob.

When she and a friend got inside they found wet clothes on the floor, Gibbs said.
It also appeared that a hallway cabinet was ransacked and the intruder had stuffed gold jewelry in a decorative pillow case before leaving without the items, Gibbs said.
