New Blood Donation Center in Clairemont

San Diego Blood Bank Opens 10th Location, 2nd largest

San Diego Blood Bank officially kicked off National Blood Donor Month and its 75th anniversary with the opening of its second-largest fixed-site, located in Clairemont Mesa (within Clairemont Town Square). The new blood donation facility provides easy access to residents of Clairemont Mesa, Bay Park, Bay Ho, Kearny Mesa, Linda Vista, Pacific Beach, and University City.

At the grand opening, blood recipients and Team Survivor members Mason and Mercedes shared their stories of survival thanks to life-saving blood products to over one hundred attendees, who included San Diego Blood Bank CEO, Douglas Morton, City Officials, board members, staff, partners, members of the Clairemont Town Council, and donors.

Councilwoman Dr. Jennifer Campbell of District 2 presented a commendation to San Diego Blood Bank, and Assemblyman Chris Ward’s office presented a certificate of recognition to the organization.
