NICU Babies Dress Up For Valentine's Day At Rady Children's Hospital

The babies celebrated their first Valentine's Day with a special photoshoot. See the adorable photos.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Some of San Diego's tiniest babies celebrated their first Valentine's Day with a special photoshoot.

Newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego were dressed up ahead of the holiday. Nurses and doctors made heart and Valentine's outfits for about 40 babies.

The babies were dressed with festive beanies, skirts or Cupid arrows. Their beds were decorated with hearts and flowers.

"Some parent were in for a surprise when they showed up to see their little ones in the NICU," Rady Children's spokesperson Carlos Delgado said. "This has been a tradition at Rady Children's Hospital for a few years, and it has been well received from parents and families with children in the NICU."
