Overturned Semi Truck Causes Traffic Delays On San Diego's SR-163

SAN DIEGO, CA — An overturned big rig shut down the eastbound and westbound Balboa Avenue on-ramps to SR-163 Sunday morning, Caltrans said. The agency was urging drivers to use alternate routes.

The report of the semi-truck, which was on its side blocking the roadway, came in around 11:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The road may be shut down for much of the afternoon.

It is unknown whether there were any injuries reported or other vehicles involved.
