Parking Lot Attendant Hit In Head With Cane Near Petco Park
A police K-9 unit was used, and the suspect was bitten on the arm before being taken into custody, officials said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A man was arrested after attacking a parking lot attendant with a stick near Petco Park, authorities said.
The attack happened around 3:35 p.m. Sunday in the tailgate lot at 1200 K St., according to the San Diego Police Department. The 25-year-old Ace parking lot employee was sitting on an electrical box in the lot when the suspect started hitting him on top of his head with the broken handle of a wooden cane.
The victim suffered two lacerations to the head, police said. He was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police found the suspect, identified as 20-year-old Lathapoun Keovongsa, at 400 Park Blvd. Officers said he was holding a six-foot wooden stick and refused commands.
Authorities deployed non-lethal weapons, which were ineffective, officials said. A police K-9 unit was then used, and the suspect was bitten on the arm before being taken into custody.
