Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Train At Old Town Transit Center

SAN DIEGO, CA — A train fatally struck a man at Old Town Transit Center in San Diego.

The deadly collision happened at 2:48 p.m. Tuesday when a southbound Coaster train hit the pedestrian at the transit center at 4005 Taylor Street in San Diego, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

The man, who appeared to be 30 to 40 years old, died at the scene, sheriff's Sgt. Jason King said.

The incident remained under investigation. The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the manner of the man's death, King said.
