Pedestrian Struck And Killed By Amtrak Train In San Diego

A pedestrian was struck and killed Sunday by an Amtrak train in Sorrento Valley, authorities said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A pedestrian was struck and killed Sunday by an Amtrak train in Sorrento Valley, authorities said.

Deputies were dispatched at 1:05 a.m. to the Sorrento Valley train station, 11170 Sorrento Valley Road, where the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, said Sgt. Jason King of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department urged anyone with information regarding the death to call them at 858-565-5200.
