Pedestrian Struck, Seriously Injured By Pickup In San Diego
The victim was transported to a hospital with major injuries, police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A 65-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by a pickup truck while walking in a crosswalk at a Midway District intersection, police said Monday.
It happened at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Rosecrans and Kurtz streets, San Diego police Officer John Buttle said.
A 29-year-old man was driving a 2004 Ford pickup truck southbound on Rosecrans Street and struck the 65-year-old man, who was walking in the crosswalk, as he made a left turn onto Kurtz Street, Buttle said.

The victim was transported to a hospital with major injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening, Buttle said.
It was not immediately clear who was at fault for the crash, Buttle said.

Officers from the San Diego Police Department's traffic division were investigating the crash.
