Pedestrian Struck By SUV, Seriously Injured In Pacific Beach Crosswalk Crash
The woman was taken to a hospital with a fractured pelvis, police said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by an SUV while in a Pacific Beach crosswalk, authorities said Wednesday.
The collision happened around 9:55 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Reed Avenue, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Investigators said the 67-year-old woman was in the north crosswalk when a 25-year-old man driving a Toyota 4Runner eastbound on Reed Avenue turned north onto Mission Boulevard and struck her.

The woman was taken to a hospital with a fractured pelvis, police said.
Police said that driving under the influence was not a factor in the crash. Officers from the department's Traffic Division responded to the scene and were working to determine who was at fault.
