Person Critically Injured In Escondido Stabbing

Police are seeking additional witnesses.

ESCONDIDO, CA — A person was critically injured in a stabbing Sunday afternoon in Escondido, authorities said.

Police received a 911 call at about 2:25 p.m. reporting a stabbing in the 2400 block of Bear Valley Parkway, according to the Escondido Police Department.

Officers found an adult suffering from stab wounds. Personnel from the Escondido Fire Department provided medical aid before the victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, police said.

Detectives responded to investigate the stabbing. Authorities said there was no ongoing threat to the community.
