1 Dead In House Fire In Agua Caliente Area Of San Diego County

SAN DIEGO, CA — A person was found dead inside a house that burned down Monday in the Agua Caliente area of eastern San Diego County, authorities said.

Firefighters were called at 4:49 a.m. to a fully involved structure fire in the Agua Caliente area off Great Southern Overland Route, Cal Fire Capt. Brent Pascua told Patch. The first unit arrived at 5:15 a.m., and crews knocked down the flames by 5:50 a.m.

Firefighters discovered a body inside the single-family home while mopping up the scene, Pascua said.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department's Bomb/Arson Unit was called to the scene to investigate the death.
