Plane Arrives Safely At San Diego Airport After Possible Engine Fire

The plane arrived from Dallas-Fort Worth.

SAN DIEGO, CA — An American Airlines flight landed safely at San Diego International Airport Saturday morning after reporting a possible engine fire.

Personnel from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department responded to an Alert 2 at the airport after Flight 3131 reported that it might have had a fire in one of its engines.

Firefighters arrived on scene and reported there was no fire on the plane, which arrived from Dallas-Fort Worth.
