Police Search For Wanted Suspect Near SDSU
Officials advised people to avoid the area near Alvarado Road and College Avenue.

SAN DIEGO, CA – Police searched for a wanted suspect Wednesday afternoon near San Diego State University.
The suspect, identified as Leo Valentine, has a felony warrant, campus officials said. Police searched near the intersection of Alvarado Road and College Avenue, near Interstate 8.
"The campus is safe and currently there are no lockdowns in place," officials said.

Valentine was described as a black man. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and gray cargo shorts. He had his hair pulled back.
During the search, officials urged people to avoid the area near Alvarado Road and College Avenue. Motorists were advised to consider alternate routes.

Anyone with information about Valentine was asked to call police at 619-594-1991.

UPDATE: The campus is safe and currently there are no lockdowns in place. At this time, campus community members are asked to stay clear of the Alvarado Road and College Avenue area only. We will continue to update as we receive more information.
