Police Seek Suspect In Robbery At The Smoking Bear In San Diego

Police are asking the public's help in locating a robbery suspect after a smoke shop clerk was held up at gunpoint in Grant Hill.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Police Thursday are asking the public's help in locating a robbery suspect after a smoke shop clerk was held up at gunpoint in Grant Hill.

A man entered The Smoking Bear, 2971 Market St., near 30th Street, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money from the register, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The clerk complied, handing over an undisclosed mount of cash from the register. The suspect then left the store — money in tow — heading south on 30th Street. The clerk was not injured during the incident.

The suspect was described as a bald man in his 30s, wearing a baseball cap, black-and-white shoes and a fanny pack.
