NATIONAL CITY, CA — The National City Police Department is conducting an internal investigation Friday morning after officers shot a 911 suspect.

A woman called the police around 4:45 a.m. to report a disturbance near a self-storage business on 33rd Street in National City, according to ABC 10News.

Officers found a man who fit the description of the suspect and, after making contact, shot the man on 33rd Street near Hoover Avenue. No details on the interaction between police and the suspect was available.
